Role

The Junior Sales Representative position is based out of our Calgary head office and plays a key role in generating new business opportunities for Catch Engineering. This individual will focus on outbound sales efforts—prospecting, qualifying leads, and setting up meetings—while collaborating with our technical experts to introduce our engineering services to prospective clients.

The successful candidate is personable, results-driven, and excited to grow their sales career in a values-driven, team-oriented company. This is a hybrid role that requires a self-motivated individual who thrives on relationship building and strategic outreach.

Areas of Accountability

The Junior Sales Representative will be responsible for:

Primary Duties:

  • Proactively identify and qualify new leads through phone, email, LinkedIn, and in-person networking;

  • Prospect and develop new business through strategic process of cold and warm calls;

  • Book qualified meetings with prospective clients and coordinate the participation of technical experts;

  • Collaborate with the CEO and technical teams to position Catch Engineering’s service offerings and build a robust sales pipeline;

  • Develop high level understanding of project scope requirements to align technical services with client expectations; 

  • Support proposal development and timely follow-ups after meetings;

  • Maintain accurate records in CRM and track sales activity;

  • Represent Catch Engineering at trade shows, events, and industry forums;

  • Support the development and execution of Catch Engineering’s sales strategy;

  • Provide back-up support to assist where necessary with various office sales and administrative functions.

Secondary Duties:

  • Assist with marketing and content coordination to support outreach efforts;

  • Monitor industry trends and gather market intelligence;

  • Support tracking of KPIs related to outreach volume, meetings secured, and opportunities developed;

  • Attend internal business development meetings and contribute to sales strategy;

  • Leverage Catch's existing relationships to identify and pursue new project opportunities;

  • Develop general knowledge and understanding of oil and gas, utilities, and renewables markets.

Qualification Requirements

Along with a collaborative and professional attitude, and you must also have:

  • Experience: 2–4 years of B2B sales experience, ideally selling engineering services and turnkey services.

  • Education: Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or communications is an asset.

  • Skills: Excellent communication, relationship-building, interpersonal & organizational skills; Ability to present information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Tech Proficiency: Familiar with CRM systems (preferably HubSpot) and Microsoft Office tools.

  • Attributes: Self-motivated, coachable, professional, goal-oriented, and results-driven.

  • Location: Must be based in Calgary; hybrid work model requires in-office collaboration.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

Base Salary: $80,000 annually

Commission Structure:

  • Generous commission on both new and existing clients

  • No cap on commission and no end date as long as you remain employed with Catch

  • Client status (new vs. existing) is defined during onboarding and reviewed annually
