As we take on this exciting new challenge, we are seeking a Digital Media Manager to join our growing team!
Our office is located in downtown Calgary on 1st St SW. In-person work in the office is a requirement of the job, but our hybrid policy allows for flexibility in working from home. Occasional travel from Calgary to the MLA Canada office in Vancouver, BC may be required.
The Digital Media Manager will lead and support the strategy, planning and execution of all targeted marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate has a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of best practices and reporting capabilities.
The core responsibilities for the role:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Advertising Expertise: Proven experience in digital advertising with a solid understanding of traditional media channels, including billboards, radio, and transit advertising.
- Strategic Campaign Planning: Ability to craft and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness and generate leads.
- Media Strategy Development: Prepare detailed media strategies, including blocking charts, booking schedules, insertion orders, and interim/post-campaign reports.
- Performance Analysis: Analyze and report on campaign effectiveness, combining data from multiple sources (e.g., sales, market intelligence) to deliver actionable insights and comprehensive performance summaries.
- Client Recommendations: Provide strategic recommendations and insights to clients, leveraging campaign performance data and industry best practices.
- Trend Awareness: Stay informed about emerging media opportunities and trends, providing expert points of view (POVs) to enhance strategies.
- Vendor Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with media vendors to stay updated on the evolving media landscape.
- Dashboard Management: Ensure client dashboards are accurate, up-to-date, and provide meaningful campaign insights.
- Financial Oversight: Partner with the accounting team to manage invoicing, track payments, and reconcile campaign budgets.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Work closely with project managers, clients, and creative teams to align on strategy, performance, and execution.
- Budget Tracking: Monitor weekly budgets across platforms to ensure efficient and effective spending.
- Creative Optimization: Collaborate with external vendors and creative teams to ensure performance marketing assets are optimized and continuously improved based on insights.
- Campaign Execution: Oversee the smooth implementation of campaigns across digital and traditional media, ensuring they are optimized for success.
- Department Growth: Identify opportunities to improve the efficiency and growth of the media department.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- 5-8 years of Media experience with at least 2 years in a Manager level role
- Extensive experience with hands-on execution of highly targeted and remarketing campaigns
- Deep understanding of Google Ads, strategies, keyword bidding, and best practices
- Strong reporting and data analysis
- Deeply acquainted with social advertising platforms such as LinkedIn Ads Manager, Facebook Business Manager, Twitter, YouTube etc.
- A strong grasp of Web Analytics, A/B Testing, and metrics-driven (performance) marketing
- Substantial experience working with performance marketing metrics (CPM, CPA, CPC)
- Experience with both digital and traditional media working with out-of-home and other non-digital media vendors
- Budgeting experience
- Superior organizational skills and exceptional ability to manage various tasks with ease
- Outstanding interpersonal communication and presentation skills
- A high level of professionalism, diplomacy and tact
- Proficiency with Google Apps, MS Office applications (Office 365)
- Hubspot and PowerBi an asset but not required
- Ability to produce results independently while maintaining a positive team environment
- An amazing attention to detail with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
